Hi guys and welcome back to our inside success stories. I am sitting here with Mr Axel Blake! Would you like to introduce yourself?
So my name is Axel Blake and I’m a stand-up comedian
Winning Britain’s Got Talent
Okay so how has your journey been so far with your stand up comedy?
I just recently won Britain’s Got Talent which was a monumental moment. So now I’m relaxing and getting ready to go on an International tour.
So correct me if I’m wrong, but one of the prizes you get is that you perform for the royal family?
Yes so that’s actually happening next month okay. I feel very calm about it. I mean of course I’m excited but I know I am going to kill it, so no stress.

Axel Blake first piece of Advice to our readers
So as you know, we are a youth magazine who work with loads of young people aged 16 to 24 in between over a little bit above. So what would your first piece of advice be to the young people who are looking to get into maybe presenting the media in front of the camera industry in general?
Start. That is the first piece of advice I would give to people. The issue is that people want to be at a certain level of what they see online or on TV. Therefore, they think that the quality of their work should be at that level. But that shouldn’t be the case. Just start, whether it’s in your room or in a small crowd. Furthermore, now we’ve got YouTube, so you could just create a channel and start posting content.
Overall, the main thing is to start, to build that confidence. Get familiar with the camera, how you speak, and how to get comfortable in front of the camera.
Advice to our young readers going through Difficult Times
So there’s a lot of young people who are facing hard times right, who are encountering doubt and what they want to do. What would your piece of advice be to them?
That it’s always going to be scary especially something you’re passionate about. However, you have to put those feelings aside, because if you let them rule you, you’ll be stuck in the same place. It goes back to what I said about just starting. Just take that leap. That’s the biggest thing I see between people that want to give a go and people that don’t. There’s people I know who are probably even funnier than me. But the difference is I just thought let me try it. So that’s really it, just start it and give it your all. It doesn’t have to be as amazing as you picture it in your head. Just give it a go and take that leap.
Axel Blake Reflects on his journey and discusses his next chapter
Axel you just won Britain’s Got Talent, and you’ve got the fame and attention around you at the moment. What are you planning to do, what’s your next plan of action, and what’s the future looking for you?
Well I am going on my first international tour!! Next month we’re taking it to Australia oh okay so yeah and then Scandinavia and um yeah just keep going it’s all goes on all the way till next year okay so it’s busy so that’s a little hit to you guys make sure you get your ticket check your ticket make sure you’re sitting there front row
How long has your journey been in comedy?
Since 2009, making it 13 years.
How Axel Blake overcame Obstacles
What are the biggest obstacles you’ve faced over the last 13 years?
Doubts. Thinking that door should be open for me when they’re not. Thinking why is that not happening to me, but it’s happening to that person. However it’s doubtful, and you need to know that you’re on your own journey, your own time, your own path, and your own experience. So don’t worry about it.
