On Sunday,15th March, Hollywood celebrated the 98th edition of the Oscars at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.

Award season is always an exciting time, and this year’s Oscars were no exception, featuring numerous iconic moments. From glamorous looks, to actors winning historic firsts, directors making home runs and movies winning multiple awards.

Let’s get into some of the most iconic moments that shaped the four-hour ceremony!

Michael B Jordan Takes the Best Actor Award

The last few weeks have felt quite steamy between Michael B Jordan and Timothée Chalamet as the two have gone head-to-head for the ‘Best Actor’ at the Oscars. In the running, Chalamet had been a strong contender. Winning the  ‘Best Actor’ at both the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. Up until recently, it was predicted to be a home run of three consecutive wins for Chalamet.

Last night, all odds were put to rest when Jordan took home the Oscar’s ‘Best Actor’ award. Making a first in his career and history as the sixth Black actor to take home this specific Oscar.

Jack O’Connell Stuns in Demonic Fangs

Sinners actor, Jack O’Connell, brought a special moment to the Oscars red carpet this year. Stunting in a fresh pair of gnarly fangs, complementary to the vampire character he played in the movie. Dressed in a fresh suit and fancy shades, the actor added a bit of spice to the carpet.

Though O’Connell has yet to take home any award wins this year, his work has been widely commended. His roles in both Sinners and 28 Days Later have further proved him to be a credible, versatile actor.
