What are the Three Kings of Business

In the decade I’ve spent building Inside Success and U Got Jokes, I’ve learned that every entrepreneur eventually bows to one of three rulers: Cash, Data, or Content.

Most startup founders fail because they serve the wrong king at the wrong time. If you want to scale to a £13m turnover and beyond, you have to understand the new hierarchy of power.

1. The Survival King: Is Cash King?

We’ve all heard the saying. Without cash flow, your business is just an expensive hobby. Especially in the UK entertainment scene, where “Venue Taxes” and upfront deposits can drain you overnight, liquidity is your armor.

Cash in Business one of the three kings of business

But here is the hard truth I’ve learned: Cash is a king that can be stolen. Inflation, systemic bias in banking, and high-interest rates can devalue your cash in an instant. If your only strength is the money in your bank today, you are vulnerable.

    2. The Strategy King: Is Data King?

In the world of Web3 and global scaling, Data is the brain of the operation. At Inside Success, our data tells us exactly who is reading, who is buying, and where the market is moving. Data allows you to stop “guessing” and start “executing.”

Data is the king that helps you predict a “bad year” before it hits and tells you how to pivot. It’s why we are moving into Matrix SmartChain (MSC) Coins, because decentralized data creates a transparent record of value that no bank manager can laugh at.

      3. The Culture King: Is Content King?

Through U Got Jokes, I’ve seen the power of Content. We’ve put shows on Amazon and Licensed Intellectual Property (IP) globally. Content is the king that builds the Brand. It’s the emotional connection with your audience.

        Content in Business

Content is the only king that can create something out of nothing. You can have zero cash and zero data, but if you have content that resonates with the culture, you can generate both overnight.

The New Hierarchy: Who Wears the Crown?

So, which one is “More King” in 2026?

The answer is: Content is the Seed, Data is the Soil, and Cash is the Harvest.

        • Content gets you in the room.
        • Data keeps you in the room.
        • Cash lets you buy the building.

As a Black British CEO with a Nigerian heritage, I’ve had to master all three just to stay on the pitch. I used Content to build a community, Data to prove our 8-figure turnover was sustainable, and Cash to fight the “Venue Tax” at places like the Apollo.

But as we move into the Afro-futurist era of Web3, the crown is shifting. We are moving toward a world where Data and Content merge into Digital Assets. When your content is your data (NFTs, MSC Coins), the cash flow becomes automated.

This is what we’re building at Inside Success, because if you aren’t building a business that masters all three Kings, you are building on sand.

Which King are you serving today? Let’s discuss in the comments.
