Do you have your finger on the pulse when it comes to discovering new music? Are you keen to gain experience in the music industry? Discover more at Youth Music!

UK-based and registered charity, Youth Music, has brought out a series of new work opportunities. Spread across three roles, young adults can apply to work with the organisation across its annual Youth Music Awards.

What is Youth Music?

Founded in 1999, Youth Music is an independent non-profit whose sole purpose is to present job opportunities for young adults with a passion for the music industry. For just over 25 years, the company has celebrated spotlighting emerging talent. However, it’s also no stranger to the bigger names, as Youth Music has had collaborations with major British artists, from Jordan Stephens (one-half of Rizzle Kicks), to Adam Joolia (CEO of AudioActive) and queer singer-songwriter MNEK, to name a few.

And that’s just musicians. Outside of that, the organisation has made partnerships with global music companies, including Ticketmaster, TikTok, London College of Contemporary Music and others.

Over the years, Youth Music has created a credible name for itself as a passionate incentive, pushing youth development and employment in the music industry.

What are the Youth Music Awards?

The Youth Music Awards are as self-explanatory as the title. It’s a space to champion the incredible work of young adults in the music industry in England. Hosting hundreds of guests who live and breathe the industry, for one night only, you can join in on the celebration of the music of the next generation. The new innovators who continue to push this scene forward. Challenge its very notions and create innovative and authentic adaptations.

Every year, the Youth Music Awards returns with judges who are established artists and music industry associates. Previously, the likes of Tinie Tempah, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Bicep and others have been a part of the official voting academy.

Who Can Apply for the Youth Music Awards Job Opportunity?

Anyone between the ages of 18 and 25 can apply to work at the Youth Music Awards. They’re recruiting for various roles, including backstage presenter, video editor and front-of-house host.

This opportunity seeks to help steer a young creative in the right direction. For anyone who lives and breathes the music industry, social media or seeks a career in presenting, this is an incredible, paid opportunity. That’s right, no slave labour here, my friends. Youth Music understands the harsh pressures of the cost-of-living crisis and appreciates that young adults deserve fair pay for the work experience they gain.
