My Sound returned to its cherished venue, CoCoCure Haus in Stratford, for another electrifying event. Thursday night was a hit, with my sound event making another iconic appearance last week on the 26th September at our favourite placeCoCoCure Haus Stratford. The event started at 6:30pm and it kicked off with a warm welcome from our beautiful charismatic host Kim Carmona. She gave everyone a warm welcome, letting the crowd know the agenda for the night stating the list of performers and the exciting workshop we had in store.
Recapping the Musical Night: The Workshop
The night started with a thought-provoking music industry Workshop by My sound. It was put together by the my sound panel talk speakers. It consisted of two speakers, the first is industry luminaries Jo Dash the Vice president of activ8us records. The second was Kay “Frix” Agemang the CEO of dope fate in association virgin music UK and Universal Music Group. They discussed topics such as the funding of your own music, major vs indie, how to get signed, tech tools to help grow your music.
The crowd got to extract so much knowledge from the talks, whilst encouraging the young artists to never restrict their talent to impress an AR. Their insights into the complexities of the music business were invaluable. Additionally, it provided the aspiring artists with practical advice on everything from funding their music to navigating the intricacies of major labels. The workshop was a masterclass in industry knowledge, empowering attendees with the tools they needed to succeed.
The crowd expressed their questions and queries about being taken seriously in the industry’s, such as picking the right teams, building a name, choosing the right collaborations, picking the right managers and publicists etc, and the crowd were so engaged with the panel talks they ate up a bit of the time for performances they were intrigued in what they could get from the industry professionals.
Recapping the Musical Night: The Workshop final words of Advice
They told the crows to Separate your craft and talent from your friendships and relationships in order to really focus. Not everyone is serious about your craft and you can’t spend too much time with those that drag you down in it. They let the artists know that it’s important to acknowledge that when someone invests in an artist it’s an investment in not just the artist but in the whole team the team is as much of a representation of the artists and their brand.
Recapping the Musical Night: The live performance
Following the workshop, the stage was set for a night of electrifying live performances from new and upcoming artists: Trilly bandido, Jab Derouche, Deecien.
Trilly Bandido, a rising star in the UK drill scene, ignited the crowd with his high-energy set. His infectious beats and powerful lyrics had the audience dancing and cheering. From start to finish he definitely got the crowd jumpy and energetic on the night.

Recapping the Musical Night: The final act of the night!
Lastly, we were blessed with a final breathtaking performance from Lewis Fitzgerald who treated the audience to his hit catchy newly released song “Teannah.” Lewis’s performance was a great way to end the night. His powerful vocals and infectious energy left a lasting impression, and the crowd erupted in applause. We were so grateful for the vibrant performance especially since it was during his UK tour.
